The UMedic program is a computer assisted interactive instruction program that can be used independently or in combination with Harvey. The program has been designed to cater for the needs of a wide rage of learners wishing to study the cardiovascular system. The learners may be:

  • Medical Students
  • Doctors (e.g. pre-registration house officers, senior house officers, general practitioners, specialist registrars and even consultants)
  • Nursing Students
  • Post-Registration Nurses
  • Paramedics

The program is flexible in design and can be used by learners wishing to study independently or by teachers wishing to use the programs as resource material for their lectures or small group sessions.

Here are five ways in which UMedic can be used.

 
 

 

Self-Learning

As a self-learning program for learners to study on their own.

 

Teaching

As a tool for teachers to use with their learners.

 

             

 

Testing

For Testing purposes.

 

Research

For research purposes.

 

             

 

Demonstrate

To demonstrate the various components of the programme to learners, teachers and other course co-ordinators.
